Dear God-tracker
GOD-TRACKING IS BEING ENCOURAGED BY HIS WORD & SPIRIT TO HAVE THE COURAGE TO FACE YOUR DIFFICULTIES
1 John 4:4
Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
A while back I was attending a leaders’ conference where a young pastor shared about his work. Being Italian, he was full of passion and, gesticulating energetically he said, “God wants you to be en…courage…d !” After deciphering his wonderful accent, I realised that he was trying to say that the encouragement we receive from God is such that it fills us with courage.
According to the Merriam Webster dictionary, courage is defined as: the ability to do something that you know is difficult or dangerous. And let’s be honest, life can be difficult at times! Sometimes we’re faced with situations that demand a fair measure of courage, which is the ability to face something difficult or dangerous. American fighter ace of World War I and Medal of Honor recipient, Eddie Rickenbacker said, “Courage is doing what you're afraid to do. There can be no courage unless you're scared.”
Perhaps you’re facing a scary moment today. It could be that you’ve lost your job or your marriage is in jeopardy. Maybe you’re embarking on a new adventure in life and you’re afraid of the future. If so, let me remind you, God’s Word tells us that the Lord’s plans for us are for our welfare and good; offering a hopeful future. It says that if we acknowledge God in all our ways, he will direct the outcome of our choices. Also, nothing will separate you from God’s love; if God is for you, who can be against you? This is God’s Word to you today, and God’s Word works together with the power and fellowship of God’s Holy Spirit. His Word and Spirit are offering you strength, hope and courage; the ability to face life’s difficulties and dangers with confidence!
So today be en…courage…d by God’s promises and his power at work in your life. He is your source and your resource. You need nothing more than his en…courage…ment to face life’s dangers.
God-tracking is being encouraged by his Word & Spirit to have the courage to face your difficulties

I step out in the encouragement of your Word and courageously face tomorrow. May your strength and your hope rise up within me. May your sovereign power and purpose rest on the circumstances beyond my control. I choose to acknowledge you in all my ways and trust you to bring about your purposes in my life, without leaning on my own understanding. Jesus, you’re all I need. Amen.”
